Deep Drawing
Deep drawing is a flexible and rational production process that can be used to produce iron and other metal parts in various shapes. The cost advantage lies in faster process speed, continuous output and lower material consumption.
Most deep drawing processes start with a round blank that determines the geometry of the later part. The multi-stage deep drawing process uses stretch-compression forming to gradually turn it into a hollow part without reducing the thickness of the metal sheet during stretching. Throughout the process, wall thickness characteristics can be determined by forming and wall ironing. This process is also used to create complex, multi-dimensional shapes involving high speed undercuts, cut outs and perforations. Even complex processes such as thread forming can be formed in one pass in the deep drawing process. If it is greater than a certain amount, the process of threading with stamping has a disproportionately low cost advantage and also has technical advantages from an application point of view.
Yongtai Electronics specializes in precision deep-drawn parts for this process for the most challenging shapes, tolerances and functions. Deep drawing is often superior to turning or die casting when it comes to the static and dynamic properties of a product, and it can cost-effectively replace these manufacturing processes.
